”He paints the soul of make-up, ” says Mikki Taylor of Essence Magazine. His client list includes Patti LaBelle, Tyra Banks, Jennifer Hudson, comedienne Mo’Nique, everyone who is ANYONE has been blessed to have their face beat by the Master. Sam Fine, one of the  first African-American spokespersons for Revlon and CoverGirl cosmetics, has been featured on the cover pages of Essence, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar and Marie Claire Magazines.

Mr. Fine is a Chicago native who is truly representing for the Midwest.  His mission is to make each and every women dazzle, by showing them how to “accentuate their unique beauty by using colors and shades that would best complement their complexions.”

For individuals like me who have a hard time with make-up,  his movie , The Beauty of Basics, will definitely be on my “Things I Need List.”  From smokey eyes, to shading in my eyebrows, to finding that right foundation Sam Fine takes it step-by-step in helping with techniques on applying make-up the right way and will be LIVE this Thursday, July 15th on TWS Media with host Patrice Yursik, who’s also a resident of Chicago.

Also featured on Thursday’s show will be Lisa Price, founder of  natural beauty products we’ve come to know and love as Carol’s Daughter. Carol’s Daughter was created by experimenting in the home of this Brooklyn’s native.   Instead of going out to buy gifts for family and friends Lisa took it upon herself to personalize each thing by making it herself.  These homemade trinkets treats soon spread throughout the area and EVERYONE wanted one.  With demand skyrocketing, Lisa created her own mail-order and web-based business and Carol’s Daughter was born!  This amazing brand exhibiting Beauty by Nature as a signature has grown to house the likes of Jada Pinkett Smith, Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, Brad Pitt and Chaka Khan.

Carol’s Daughter first boutique was opened in 1999, in her home in Brooklyn New York, specifically in the Fort Greene Neighborhood.  With the many achievements, Carol’s Daughter has been showcased on The Today Show, The View and the Oprah Winfrey Show.
