So what if Oprah has Secrets?!?!

By: Tamika L. Morrison

I mean,  don’t we all have SOME skeletons in our proverbial closet?

Normally I would have some serious or social conscious idea to politick with you about, but I’ve been a busy little bee behind the scenes working distinguished events, meeting with new clients, and growing our agency, TWS Marketing Communications and TWS Media.  So in the spirit of sharing content with you that tugs at my heart and conscience, I will share with you this bit of news that caught my eye about a woman most of us truly adore – Oprah Winfrey.

So apparently biographer, Kitty Kelley writes her version of a tell-all about Oprah by interviewing over 850 personal sources ‘close’ to the mogul. *side eye* I’m still trying to figure out how official is an autobiography of someone still living and didn’t talk to you directly about it….hmmmm, interesting.

Anyhow, Kelley apparently uncovers a web of secrets and shed’s more light on Oprah’s complicated relationship with long-time beau, Stedman Graham and other supposed dalliances.

I have to admit, it has me curious – as much as I give Lady O credit for showing us the path to living ‘our truth‘, one has to wonder if the motivation behind it all is because she struggles to live and embrace her own?

I challenge you to share with me your thoughts after you read this.  Do you think this book has any credence?  What if Oprah is living  a double-life, what would that change about what she means to you? Would it take away her accomplishments? Better yet, is she entitled to those truths?  Aren’t we all?  Inquiring minds wanna know!

The most current copy of O Magazine is available on newsstands now.

Kelley: Winfrey’s unreleased autobiography detailed adolescent promiscuity

In her 23-year-career as America’s most influential national talk-show host, there’s seemingly little that Oprah Winfrey hasn’t shared with her loyal viewers. From weight battles and romantic ups and downs to dark childhood secrets, the 56-year-old Winfrey has earned a reputation for candor about her own life.

But Kitty Kelley, the celebrity biographer who developed a reputation as a lightning rod for controversy with her tell-alls on Nancy Reagan and Frank Sinatra, says that Oprah’s life is nonetheless “choked with secrets,” and she digs them out in her new book, “Oprah: A Biography.”

Speaking with Matt Lauer on TODAY Monday, Kelley said that in researching her book, she was given the opportunity to read Winfrey’s own 1993 autobiography, a book Oprah ultimately decided not to release — and that in it, she referred to herself as a “prostitute” during her troubled, wild adolescence.
